The Development Foundation (DRF) empowers 35 impoverished families in Taiz with sustainable small projects, thanks to generous support from donors in Qatar.

The Development Foundation (DRF) launched the first phase of its 2025 “Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment” project, funding 35 small projects aimed at helping impoverished families become self-reliant, generate sustainable income, and transition from aid to sustainability.

The launch ceremony was attended by officials and community leaders, including the Deputy Governor of Taiz for Social Affairs, Mr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Sanawi; the Director of the Governorate’s Social Affairs and Labor Office, Mr. Abdo Ali Mohammed; the Director of the Al-Namaa Network for NGOs in Taiz, Mr. Abdul-Ilah Salam Al-Daba’i; the Secretary-General of the Foundation, Mr. Essam Al-Tamimi; and representatives of civil society organizations.

Deputy Governor Al-Sanawi praised such sustainable projects and expressed his gratitude to the donors in Qatar for their support of Yemen, especially given the current circumstances.

This project is being implemented with generous funding from donors in Qatar and under the supervision of the Foundation. “Rahma,” as part of the foundation’s efforts to strengthen the resilience of the most vulnerable families and achieve long-term sustainable development.

The foundation’s Secretary-General, Issam Al-Tamimi, emphasized the project’s importance in supporting families during these difficult times, expressing his gratitude to the funding and supervising entities.
