At the inauguration, Khalid Abdul Jalil, Deputy Governor of Taiz for Financial and Administrative Affairs, affirmed that this project, implemented by the Ra’aya Development Foundation under the patronage of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, expresses loyalty and gratitude to the families of the martyrs and wounded veterans who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the beloved homeland. Deputy Governor Abdul Jalil stated, “Our righteous martyrs watered the land with their pure blood for the national cause and the dignity of the people, and we are here today thanks to them. This obligates us to remain loyal to them and follow in their footsteps.” He pointed out that the cash assistance project was funded by philanthropists under the patronage and supervision of President Al-Alimi, emphasizing that these projects have a profound impact on the families of martyrs and the wounded. For his part, Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al-Majidi, Chief of Staff of the Taiz Axis, said, “This special gathering to honor our martyrs, now resting in Paradise, and our patient wounded who endured death and overcame the impossible by conquering their disabilities, is to give them their due respect and the recognition they deserve, as this is but a small part of what they are owed.” Al-Majidi added, “Our martyrs and wounded have exemplified the most magnificent meaning of heroism, sacrifice, dedication, and courage, raising the banner of Taiz on the horizon of liberation and distancing it from the defilement of the coup and militias. Taiz and Yemen, from its farthest reaches to its heart and from its east to its west, owe a debt to them.” At the event, held in the Taiz Governorate General Office Hall, Essam Al-Tamimi, Secretary-General of the Care Foundation, reviewed the cash assistance project, which targets all families of martyrs and wounded individuals with disabilities in all districts of Taiz Governorate. Al-Tamimi confirmed that the foundation launched today the disbursement of cash assistance through Al-Kuraimi Islamic Microfinance Bank and its branches, noting the generous gesture from His Excellency the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, which reflects his keenness to support projects for the families of martyrs and the wounded and to meet their needs. He also called for concerted popular and official efforts to care for the families of martyrs and the wounded, to check on their well-being, and to look after their children, especially since they are the most vulnerable group.
